Think about the decisions you have made that led to your current position.Past: What choices have you made that led to your current position present: whyis astern mba necessary at this point in your life? future: what is your desiredposition upon graduation from the Stern school I have always desired a careerthat requires innovation, educated risk, and foresight. I learned to respectthese qualities from my father, a Lebanese immigrant who worked for years tocreate his own business. Through his example, I have seen firsthand theadvantages and challenges of self-employment--the rewards to be gained and thetotal commitment required. My goal is to create a business based on my own ideasand efforts, and have made decisions aimed at bringing this dream into fruition.After graduating from college, I accepted a position as the manager of anestablished German restaurant in San Francisco. I had been the evening managerthere for nearly two years while attending college, and knew that the restaurantwas struggling. For several years, high overhead costs and poor marketing hadbrought revenue to a minimum. I saw the position as an intriguing challenge; Iknew I could dramatically increase the restaurant’ s profitability. Immediatelyafter accepting the position in July of 1995,I addressed the most significantproblem: high overhead from over staffing, food waste, and unnecessary purchasesof supplies. I lowered each of these expenses while maintaining the restaurant’s quality and efficiency. My next target was marketing. Inexpensiveadvertisement in local newSPApers, attractive signage, and Internet postingsbrought in many new customers. In the meantime, I took control of theaccounting, eliminating the need for independent help. The increased revenue anddecreased spending had an immediate effect. At the end of 1996, the restaurantreported a profit for the first time in six years. I remained with the businessuntil it was sold in 1997, monitoring these changes in order to provide lastingimprovement. Although the position made me realize that the restaurant businessdid not appeal to me, those two years reaffirmed my desire to operate my ownbusiness. I had not abandoned my education during that time; while working atthe restaurant, I had taken real estate courses in the evening and passed theCalifornia State Broker exam in 1996. My brother and I launched our own propertymanagement company in April of 1996,and it quickly grew. We currently have sevencommercial properties under management. Our responsibilities include leasing,accounting, and property maintenance. In 1997, I began working as a broker witha commercial real estate company, largely to gain the knowledge of retail toimprove the leasing and sales division of my company. I am currently employed ina sales position with a private business bank in San Francisco.
I was hired to bring business into the bank, which rarely advertises,prefer ring to attract business primarily from referrals. My responsibilitiesinclude interacting with potential clients, selling loans and deposits, andaccount maintenance. This job has given me better understanding of sales andfinance, which is crucial to the success of any business. Although my ultimategoal is to grow our property management company into a full time business, thesepositions in other industries have been invaluable learning aids. Propertymanagement requires an extensive knowledge of real estate, banking, accountingand sales. I now feel confident that I have gained valuable experience with mywork.
However, I know that earning a graduate degree will further enhance theskills I need to develop a viable company. The Leonard N. Stern School ofBusiness at New York University will allow me to learn from the finest teachers,interact with the brightest students, and experience one of the top graduateprograms in the United States. I can only anticipate the invaluable knowledgeand training I will gain from being a part of this program.
Although my work experience has been extremely important, the NYU SternSchool of Business will be equally as educational. It will allow me toincorporate my experiences with other equally ambitious students, and to broadenmy goals, ideas and perspectives. A graduate degree in Management andOrganizational Behavior is a significant asset to any business owner. The firstyear curriculum of accounting, management, finance, marketing, and economicswill enhance my knowledge of the basic foundations of business and management.During my second semester, I will enroll in the track courses of EntrepreneurialStudies. These classes will teach me advanced business techniques and theirsuccessful implementation. In addition, Stern-sponsored, non-academicentrepreneurial organizations will be both educational and enjoyable. I viewthese as an opportunity to meet students who share similar goals. They willexpand my awareness of new business concepts within our quickly evolvingeconomy--which I hope to incorporate into my own company. The experiencesavailable at NYU are myriad, and a degree from the Stern School will propel metoward the realization of my professional goals.

I am interested in pursuing a Geography course at University. StudyingGeography will provide me with a better understanding of topical issues thataffect the world around us, and also improve my presentational skills andindependent learning skills. I am currently studying A-Levels Geography andDrama, which has provided me with a keen interest in current affairs; thereforeI am interested in areas such as development and environmental issues
I feel that these subject areas will provide me with a sound background tobuild a degree
My interests in Drama started early in College where I found that I enjoyedmany of the techniques used within Drama. This gave me the confidence to takepart in college productions, I have also developed my knowledge of GreekTragedies, Physical Theatre and Monologues, and whilst studying an A-Level inPerforming Arts I have developed my leadership skills and confidence to a maturestandard
During my work experience I had the opportunity to work with a professionaland extremely dedicated armourer. I used these two weeks to great advantage bybroadening my knowledge in a diverse trade, which requires skill and extremelygood technique. These two weeks helped me develop many skills such asconcentration and independent working, work experience has also provided me withexperience in a trade which can be used to fall back on, due to the fact thatthis is a family trade I therefore I have a platform in which to start up
Within college I play an active role within college and also within mytutor group. I was elected student Council Representative, which has not onlydeveloped my communications skills but furthered my organisation skills. Withinmy tutor group I interact as much as possible by taking part in the tutorfootball team, and helping out my tutor with international dimensions week,which consists of helping younger students to develop skills they can use in thefuture. I have also worked with the P.E department by refereeing sports dayfootball
As part of my personal development personal development, I helped in a Year7 Drama class and used my own skills to help students out with plays, thistaught me qualities of leadership such as motivation and patience
My hobbies include a wide range of sports, most notably rugby where I playat club level and county level, I hope to use this sporting background to playin a University team. I also take a great interest in football, golf andoccasionally play tennis, I work part time within the College itself working inthe Site Team, which has developed my reliability and communications skills
I regard myself to be an extremely friendly and hard working person. I havebecome very determined and independent as a result of pursuing my A-Levels; andhope this provides a good background for University. I look forward to thechallenge of University life and the opportunities that will arise as aresult.

一、学历要求
高中升本科，需要大家完成自己的三年基础课程学习，参加会考和高考，并且确认自己符合毕业的标准，能够获取官方开具的毕业证书，这样才有足够的资格提交入学的申请。
本科升硕士要求也是差不多的，大家必须要确认自己的能力优势，保证能够顺利的完成自己的申请，就需要确认自己完成了本科基础阶段的学习，要即将或者已经拿到了最终的学历学位证明。
二、学术审核
这是大家必须要参加的审核，要确认直接学历材料符合要求而且真实有用，那就是APS的审核，会需要比较长的时间，大家早一定将材料准备好，然后再前往相关机构接受审核。
三、考试成绩
重点是大家的学术成绩，即在读期间大小考试的平均分，如果是本科的申请，要求GPA在6.0分以上;如果是硕士的申请，则需要出示自己GPA6.5分左右的平均分，保证自己的基础达标。
此外本科的申请，还需要准备好自己的高考分数表，由于是辅助材料，所以没有固定标准;而硕士的申请，则要出事专业能力的证明，主要就是GRE和GMAT的考试，需要大家根据专业的要求选择。
四、语言能力
选择德语授课的专业的学生，需要参加德福考试的考核，分数需要有B2，语言相关专业要有B1;选择英语授课的话，大家要确保自己的语言成绩考核雅思在6.0-6.5分，越高越有竞争力。
五、专业匹配
不管是哪一个阶段的入学，大家都需要对所申请的专业，有一个比较好的了解，最直观的要求就是要有相关课程的学习经历，如果准备跨专业的话，也要进行实习的准备要保证自己有足够的能力。
六、软件文书
基础的文书整理，则按照学校的要求来进行就可以了，主要就是大家的CV、PS和RL，这些都是比较基础的材料，按要求准备就不用担心会有问题，如果本人有其他获奖经历或者发表文章也可以进行出示。
